As the Tupperware Brands Chain of Confidence Global Ambassador, Susan Porcaro Goings, a former television broadcaster, travels the world gathering inspirational stories of women and their journey to a confident life.
Susan began her professional career with ABC-TV in Central Florida, where she became their first female Account Executive, in addition to broadcast talent assignments. She was soon recruited to the largest media market in the United States, KABC-TV in Los Angeles. During her career as a broadcast journalist and on-air personality she interviewed major political dignitaries, news makers, and celebrity legends. While residing in Los Angeles County, her interests in civic issues led her to seek elected office, serving as a City Council Member and Mayor Pro-Tem of Hidden Hills, CA. As Co-Chair of The Rick and Susan Goings Foundation, she and her husband provide needed financial resources to exceptional volunteer services for youth development programs. Together they provided important primary funding for the first Boys & Girls Clubs in Tijuana, Mexico, Johannesburg, South Africa, and in Hemingway, South Carolina. A dedicated and effective volunteer, Susan served as the 2013 Chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Conference. She continues to use her media experience as "the official talk show host” of their national events, passionately advocating for the organization to diverse audiences and stake holders. Susan attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, and is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. fgd |
