Our family consists of a 5-year-old, 3-year-old triplets, the dad (me) and the mom (my wife Lisa). We are a family who has been through a lot during the last few years... and somehow emerged from all of it more confident than ever. If our family is a mini-chain of confidence, we are only so because of THE STRONGEST LINK--Lisa.
In June of 2005, with a barely-one-year-old at home, Lisa and I received the most shocking news of our life: she was expecting quadruplets. It was during this time that I really saw my tiny wife's true character. She was the human embodiment of a Tupperware product--solid, strong, resilient, even unbreakable... all while being flexible!
In the last four years, she has weathered: giving birth to quadruplets, five days in the adult ICU battling for her own life, the sickness and passing of one of our daughters, four months of hospitalization for the remaining three, three cross-country moves, round-the-clock feedings, billions of diapers, pottytraining (!), and now the beginning of the school years.
On top of all of this (as if it weren't enough), our family's strongest link has found a way to strengthen the chain of confidence in our community too. She founded a non-profit called Project Seahorse (in Emily's memory), in which she prepares and delivers care packages to families of premature babies in our area, encouraging them and telling them: YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS!
I am blessed beyond belief to be married to THE STRONGEST LINK!
